AboutThis Year, the third grade students read the story Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. The story is about a boy who is flattened by a bulletin board and is then able to go on adventures around the world in an envelope. As part of their studies of communities and map skills, the students created flat paper dolls of themselves and sent them to friends or relatives in hopes of going on their own adventures. The host family will was asked to take the Flat Student to see the sights of their town. This blog shows the adventures they have taken.

Flatt Isaac in Milan

Flat Isaac made his way to Milan, Italy. He went with his sister’s boyfriend, Max, who went to study abroad for college. Here he is hanging outside the hotel window in Milan. Also, Outside Sevengrams coffee shop! He then enjoyed a sevengrams espresso. He even got to take a picture in front of the Milan Castello Fountain and check out the Milan Duomo (church) . Finally he ventured out In Milan streets, the Fountain at Lake Como and Lake como itself! It was so much fun!
