AboutThis Year, the third grade students read the story Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. The story is about a boy who is flattened by a bulletin board and is then able to go on adventures around the world in an envelope. As part of their studies of communities and map skills, the students created flat paper dolls of themselves and sent them to friends or relatives in hopes of going on their own adventures. The host family will was asked to take the Flat Student to see the sights of their town. This blog shows the adventures they have taken.

Good morning from Cooper Island BVI
I’ve been loving revisiting places I have been to before. Norman Island, Bitter End and Saba Rock in the North Sound of Virgin Gorda BVI. It’s nice to run into familiar faces we have seen on previous trips
Let me tell you about yesterday! I had to stay below because I forgot my raincoat it rained a lot and thunder and lightning too. GJ and Cappy had their rain jackets on but still got soaked to the bone. It sort of was miserable but it’s all part of the adventure. Our friends Scott and Kenna are here too on their boat Twillick. You remember, we went to Puerto Rico on it in November. Heading off to Norman now
