AboutThis Year, the third grade students read the story Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. The story is about a boy who is flattened by a bulletin board and is then able to go on adventures around the world in an envelope. As part of their studies of communities and map skills, the students created flat paper dolls of themselves and sent them to friends or relatives in hopes of going on their own adventures. The host family will was asked to take the Flat Student to see the sights of their town. This blog shows the adventures they have taken.

Flat Olivia in Dayton

Flat Olivia has been with us these last few weeks (sorry, longer than two with the holiday business). Here are a few pictures from her visit.

Flat Olivia is at the Dayton Arcade Holly Days event inside the rotunda, at The Nutcracker performed by the Dayton Ballet Company, opening presents on Christmas morning and visiting the Bell Tower at Carillon Park. She will be on to her next adventure tomorrow.
