Flat Leo in Chicago

Hello friends!

Greetings from Chicago, Illinois! It’s me, Flat Leo, and I’m having an AMAZING time exploring this snowy, windy city. You won’t believe what I’ve been up to!

Chicago has already gotten over 17 inches of snow this season, which is a LOT—almost as much as the city usually gets in an entire winter! Everywhere I go looks like it’s been covered in powdered sugar. Luckily, I have some family here who helped me get ready to brave the cold weather.

First, I went to Millennium Park and made a snow angel. Being flat really helped—my snow angel looked perfect on the very first try! Then I tried to build a snowman, but the wind blew his hat right off and sent it skidding across the sidewalk. Chicago really is the Windy City! While at the park, I also saw a bunch of cool things like the Bean, and went to Lake Michigan for a few minutes. It was freezing! After that, I headed back to my cousin’s house where I helped build a snow fort. We stacked piles of snow into tall walls and made little tunnels I could slide through easily because—well—I’m flat! It was like my own snowy hideout. My cousin also built a kid-size tunnel so she could join in the fun.

Then came a big snowball fight, and the snow fort came in handy! The kids were amazed at how fast I could dodge snowballs. Being flat means I can slip sideways through the air like a ninja—very useful in snowy battles. After all that winter fun, I warmed up with a cup of hot chocolate. Don’t worry—I took tiny sips so I didn’t get soggy. Chicago sure knows how to make a snowy day feel magical. I can’t wait to share more adventures with you. If you ever visit Chicago in the winter, bring your warmest hat, your biggest mittens, and get ready for LOTS of snowy fun!

I’ll send another update soon about some of my other adventures while exploring downtown Chicago. I even got to take a train!
