SASEAS Flat Stanley Blog

Flat Eli came with us this weekend to Baltimore. We visited Fort McHenry, but it was closed because of the government shut-down. While we told Flat Eli we couldn’t go in, he tried to find his own way to see the place where the Star Spangled Banner was written 🙂 Next we went to the Maryland Marching Band Association competition and saw all the schools in the state of Maryland compete. The school we were cheering for (Wootton High School) earned second place in the entire state! Flat Eli was very excited. You can tell Ms. Poux that her high school didn’t even have a band competing…so sad for them 😦
