Flat Liam in Hawaii

Aloha!!

Flat Liam made it to Honolulu, Hawaii! It is bright and sunny here and the temperature is always in the high 80s. The airport is right next to the beautiful ocean!

Flat Liam went on a tour of Waikiki today. It’s the famous area in Hawaii with restaurants, hotels and lots of shopping. He even got to see the famous Diamond Head volcano! It’s pictured in the background.

We saw a beautiful rainbow starting to form!

Here is a non-fuzzy picture of Diamond Head Volcano! You can see the famous Hilton Rainbow Tower on the very right. They have fireworks every Friday night!

We stayed for the fireworks but watched from Ala Moana mall. You can see the Rainbow Tower of the Hilton Village on the left now!

The next day we went to the park! There are so many interesting things to do and fun friends to meet!

We went swimming and saw a turtle today!

We had to get some pineapples to eat! They are famous Dole Pineapples from Hawaii!

There are so many rainbows in Hawaii. You can see a rainbow everyday!

Today I went to work with Loc. He works at the famous pink hospital on the hill called Tripler Army Medical Center. You can see it from the airport.

They have to paint the hospital regularly so that it keeps its bright pink color!

We caught another rainbow today at Pearl Harbor!

After work, we went high on a mountain today to see some good views! This is the view from behind Waikiki. You can see Diamond Head Volcano in the middle.

We finished today with a luau. You get to learn about traditional Hawaiian customs and dance.

When the sun goes down, they finish the luau with fire dancers!

The next day, we went to Kualoa Ranch. It’s where they film a lot of movies! The views of the ocean are so nice up here.

We all hopped on a plane today for a surprise visit back to the mainland. It’s Friendsgiving with all of our friends and we are traveling for a quick weekend getaway!

After a long flight, we are finally at the Cincinnati airport!

Flat Liam had a great time seeing his family again. He’s ready though to get back on the plane and enjoy some warm beach days before he starts his journey to another country!.

One final beach day! Flat Liam tried to make a sand angel but it’s easier in the snow.

Last day! Flat Liam is about to enjoy a Hawaiian treat before he hops back into his envelope for a long trip to South Korea! Musubi is just rice and spam but it’s so delicious!!
